KTH Architects, Inc. has its roots with the firm of James H. Kring in Johnstown, PA. Both Nicholas Teplica (in 1966) and Robert Hallstrom (in 1977) began their careers working with Mr. Kring in the Johnstown office. James Kring maintained a full-service architectural office with extensive experience in the healthcare field. The Johnstown office supplied architectural services to DuBois Regional Medical Center East (Maple Avenue Hospital) for many years. Through his work with DRMC, Mr. Kring’s office developed a strong reputation for quality architectural services in the DuBois Area.

In 1979, the office of James Kring opened a branch facility in DuBois to accommodate the numerous clients in this region. Nick Teplica and Bob Hallstrom staffed this office and upon Mr. Kring’s retirement, the DuBois office became the sole location of KTH Architects, Inc.

KTH Architects, Inc. has grown since its transfer to the DuBois location and now includes an Orlando, Florida and Homestead, Pittsburgh Area office. KTH Architects, Inc. has extensive project experience that includes hospitals, healthcare centers, skilled nursing facilities, long term care facilities, airports, private commercial projects, elementary schools, secondary schools, post-secondary schools, hotels and hospitality facilities, industrial buildings, municipal projects and religious buildings.

The vision for KTH Architects, Inc. is that it be a company that exists in perpetuity. The rigorous standards to which we hold our employees and projects help ensure that KTH Architects, Inc. will provide quality design work, documentation, and construction administration services for years to come.
